How much does a party boat cost in Charleston?
It depends on group size, trip length, date and the boat. Groups of six or fewer can often use smaller, more affordable charters, while larger groups need bigger inspected vessels that cost more. Each operator sets its own prices, and you'll get an exact quote from them before you book.
How many people can a Charleston party boat hold?
Small charters usually carry up to six passengers. Larger Coast Guard inspected vessels carry more, and a few can take 40 or more. The maximum for each inspected boat is listed on its Coast Guard certificate.
Can we bring alcohol?
Many operators allow guests 21 and over to bring their own drinks, often cans only. Some restrict liquor or don't allow alcohol at all. The policy depends on the operator and vessel.
Can we bring food?
Most operators allow snacks and simple food. Larger events with catering depend on the vessel. Ask the operator before planning a full meal.

Are captains included?
Yes, on captained charters, which is what most Charleston party boats are. The captain is provided by the operator. Self-drive rentals are a separate option.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The captain makes the call on weather. Cancellation, rescheduling and refund policies are set by each operator, so review them before paying a deposit.
Can large groups rent one boat?
Yes, up to the vessel's certified passenger limit. There are fewer boats for groups over 30, so reach out early. Some groups split across two boats.
Can we play our own music?
Most boats have a Bluetooth sound system or allow a portable speaker. Captains may ask you to turn it down near docks and no-wake zones.
Do boats have bathrooms?
